I had six prints accepted into this prestigious
exhibition this year. Annually they only accept 202 prints for exhibition out of several thousand images submitted. The acceptance
rate this year was 9%, so I was delighted to have done so well.
Among the prints
accepted was "End of Summer" and "Headlight"
I have just heard that I had five images
accepted to this series of four exhibitions. Great news!
The exhibition opens in Edinburgh
Photographic Society (Great King Street) on 3rd August and runs until the 29th,
St Andrews Photographic Society
This year I won all three of the major St
Andrews Photographic Society Annual Trophies (Mono Print, Colour Print, and Digital Projected Image).

I was delighted to hear that I had four prints
accepted to the Scottish International Salon 2014 - 2 colour and 2 mono.

This competition is for photo clubs in Fife. It
was held yesterday (30th March) in Dunfermline. I am delighted to say that my work won awards for Best Monochrome Print, Best
Projected Image, and Best Portrait. Another image was second in the colour print category.
International Salons and Exhibitions
For the past few months I have entered fewer than
usual international salons and exhibitions. However over the past few days I have been preparing entries for the Scottish
Salon, Edinburgh International Exhibition, and the Austrial (Trierenenberg) Circuit, as well as for the Scottish Photographic
Federation Portfolio. It is now a case of waiting for results.
My most recent exhibition
My own last exhibition was held in Fife Fotospace
(Rothes Halls, Glenrothes, Fife) between Saturday 26th October and Thursday 5th December 2013. "Off the Wall" featured all the work included in my successful RPS Fellowship
portfolio and many more abstract images from the same project.
Portfolio 3 is the third edition of a book produced
by the Royal Photographic Society to illustrate the best in current photography. This is published in late September 2013. I was delighted to hear that some of my work has been accepted for this book. As yet I have not been told exactly
which images are to be included. It will come as a pleasant surprise.
I must confess to a little laziness, as I have
not been submitting work to many international exhibitions this year. Perhaps I have been too preoccupied with arranging my
own solo exhibitions in Dundee and Glenrothes? However I was delighted to hear that five of my photos were accepted for the
Scottish International Salon this summer. There were:- - Calla Abstract in Blue
- Leaf
Trio
- Leaf on the Pavement
- Out of the Dead Land
- Single Physalis
Fellowship of
The Royal Photographic Society
I was absolutely delighted to hear that a panel of 20 of my abstract images was accepted
for Fellowship of the Royal Photographic Society (FRPS) on the 15th November 2012. I was formally presented with my Fellowship certificate
on the 25th November 2012).
Angus Art Exhibition
Two of my abstract photographs are currently on show in the Angus Art Exhibition in the
Meffan Institute in Forfar. The exhibition runs until the end of the year.
Other International Exhibitions
I have not been too good at keeping this page up to date recently. I should also have mentioned
that I have had work accepted in Taichung (Taiwan), Northern Counties, Child 2012 (Serbia), Swansea, and Arizona.
Welsh International Salon 2012
I was very pleased to hear that seven of my projected digital images were accepted in this intenational
competition. This includes "Physalis" which had not been previously exhibited at this level,

Edinburgh International Exhibition 2012
I was recently advised that one of my prints ("Sails in the Mist") has been accepted for Edinbugh
International Exhibition this year. This is the 150th anniversary of this exhibition. Annually just 200 prints are accepted
from about 3,000 entries. The number of submissions increased significantly in this anniversary year, so I am very pleased
indeed to have had a print accepted.

EFIAP Award
I was delighted to hear that I have just been awarded an EFIAP (Excellence - International Federation
of Photographic Art). This follows on from the AFIAP that I was awarded last year. To gain this award you must have more than
150 acceptances with at least 50 different photographs in more than 30 approved international exhibitions in at least 15 countries.
Southampton International Exhibition
My recent photograph, "Sails in the Mist" gained
a Photographic Society of America silver medal for the best landscape in this major international exhibition. It was one of
eight photos that I had accepted.
Wrekin International Exhibition
I was delighted to hear that I wave been awarded a Photographic
Society of America Gold Medal for my portrait "Fading Memory". This photo also gained a judge's medal in the Scottish Photographic
Federation's Digital Image Championship.

I recently had eight photographs accepted in this trio
od international exhibitions. I have now had almost 200 images exhibited in international exhibitions across sixteen
countries.

Gold Medals
One of my projected images ("Remember Me") was "Best
in Show" and winner of a Photographic Society of America Gold Medal in the Grand Digital Circuit, Bhopal, India 2011.
Another monochrome print ("Yellowstone Thermophiles") was
Photographic Society of America Gold Medal Winner in Luxembourg (Photo Club Esch) International Salon 2011.
I have won two PSA Gold Medals before, in Southampton
and Smethwick International Salons, both for "Untitled Portrait # 1".
I am absolutely delighted!
